An art immersive luxury island resort, nestled on Muravandhoo Island in Raa Atoll in the northern reaches of the Maldives. The Imagi-Nature Art Festival will be held in April at JOALI Maldives, the world’s first and only art-immersive resort, as part of its annual Art Week. The resort, which was artfully designed to appeal to the senses, is collaborating with renowned art consultant Tatiana Gecmen-Walderk. They encourage visitors to celebrate nature’s creative spirit in the heart of the Indian Ocean.
Innovative dialogues will take center stage at the exquisite resort from April 14 to April 18 as part of a stellar lineup of international art forms, stunning installations, and local influences. Visitors can watch the groundbreaking project in action during Art Week, which effortlessly combines art and sustainability through privileged partnerships with well-known artists.
Aurelie Hoegy, Studio Mameluca, Maja Rohwetter, Barbara Veiga, Jeanne Susplugas, Le Petite Chef, and Hajja & Joule are a few of the well-known artists included in the endeavor. Each immersive installation at JOALI is intended to engage, ignite, and free the mind. Visitors of all ages are welcome to interact with the eco-conscious artwork displayed throughout the resort, which complements its picturesque beauty.
The four cutting-edge works of art that have been added to the resort’s collection are “JOALI Hammock” by Hoegy, “One Egg. One World” by Studio Mameluca.
“Daydreaming” by Jeanne Susplugas, and “Contingencies” by Rohwetter, a multisensory augmented reality app. Hoegy was inspired to create the JOALI Hammock by the Indian Ocean’s motion, the island’s natural contours, and its abundance of white sand. Another work by Studio Mameluca, White Tern’s Bird Nest, allows visitors to create their own customized ocean sound experience and become one with nature and marine life.
Visitors can get a closer look at how the brain functions with Susplugas’ exhibit, moving through neurons and synapses with their eyes, before continuing their virtual experience with Rohwetter’s expanded dimensions of reality piece. At the Saoke, the Japanese restaurant created by renowned builder Noriyoshi Murumatsu, Le Petite Chef will redefine culinary arts. The restaurant’s lavish display will indulge customers for six months.
