Invitated by the Design Academy of Eindhoven, Aurelie Hoegy gave a workshop around the theme of Design & Performance during Dutch Design Week in the DAE Arena with the students and the aluminis.

The goal was, during 20 minutes, to explore and understand one object thanks to the touch, eyes closed. Six chairs were objects of experimentation.

Writing of the Manifesto Unobject by Aurelie Hoegy in collaboration with the design theorist Louise Schouwenberg.

The talk was given after Offset Dancers Performance in Silencio David Lynch’s club in Paris.

Subjects discussed:

New Perspectives on the Creative Process in Today’s Design.
Convergences between disciplines in contemporary artistic practices: from arts
plastics to music, from dance to design and from science to fashion.
The importance of a design that does not consider the object as static and inert (functional and aesthetic) but which seeks to understand and explore its dynamics through our behaviors and interactions in everyday life to bring out a new way of creation and new perspectives.
Confrontation with the reality of design (work with dancers, choreographers, an audience, etc.)
How to think “bodily” to give life to the conception of the design?
